Workshop Online (on ZOOM platform) in English and Italian
Time: 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm
This experiential training offers psychotherapists and psychologists the opportunity to explore how photographs can be used as therapeutic tools in the context of grief and loss.
We will begin by using photography to explore each participant’s personal understanding and representation of death and bereavement. Through the use of evocative and projective images, we will reflect together on the projections, associations, and personal meanings that emerge around this theme. Participants will learn how to use photographs as mediating tools in group settings, facilitating discussion, emotional expression, and shared reflection.

THEORY AND CLINICAL CASE STUDY
Which phototherapy techniques can be used in psychotherapy with clients experiencing bereavement?
A clinical case will be presented to illustrate how different phototherapy techniques can support a grief process. Techniques discussed will include the use of projective photographs, photos of the deceased and self-portraits as ways to access inner experiences, support memory work, and foster integration. Additional tools such as family photo albums and patient-taken photographs will also be explored as potentially useful in the therapeutic process.
GROUP DISCUSSION AND SUPERVISION
We will dedicate a substantial portion of the training to the supervision of your clinical cases. You’ll have the opportunity to reflect on your work and receive theoretical and practical suggestions on how to integrate photographic tools into your clinical practice.
Clinical experience is required to participate, but you do not need to bring a specific case or have previous experience with photography in therapy.
